We have named PUMP CARE the Suction Filters because thanks to their function of protection from coarse contamination (due to lack of initiai cleaning or to an accidental ingression) they take care of the pump, ensuring a safe and efficient operation. The Suction Filters must be always properly sized to avoid cavitation of the pump: the values given in the sizing instructions and the flow rates indicated in the Quick Selection Chart consider a wide safety factor.
A clogging indicator is recommended, signalling in time the need for filter element replacement, and the bypass valve option is also available. Obviously the function of the Suction Filters is only the protection of the pump; the generai cleanliness level required by the system must be ensured by the filters having that function (Return or Pressure fiIters).
